Warehouse Roll Clamp Operator-2nd Shift

Location: York, PA


Primary Purpose:

The Roll Clamp Operator is responsible forhelping facilitate warehouse operations through operating a lift truck and processing inventory and orders in a timely manner to meet customer expectations and contracts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate a lift truck with various attachments to unload, load, store, relocate or organize materials and goods in an appropriate manner that is safe, productive and efficient
  • Verify inventory.
  • The operator must follow processes of proper receiving/shipping practices, inventory control and reporting OS&D.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by management and follow the SOP as provided by management.
  • Operator must follow training methods as prescribed in SOP on appropriate unloading, put away and loading practices.
  • Operator must follow the appropriate processes on reporting OS&D
  • Operator must be aware of FIFO and follow appropriate processes.
  • Operator must ensure load accuracy and quality of material and vehicle being loaded.
  • Perform all other duties as requested.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:  Two (2) years of certified lift truck experience.

Education:  High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Other equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Verifiable sit-down lift truck certification within the past 12 months.  Able to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language.  Basic computer skills.  Comply with OSHA, FDA, MDHMH and SDS Standards.  Follow all SOP guidelines as related to safety, sanitation and security. 

 

Working Conditions:

This position will operate mainly within a warehouse environment.

Minimal travel will be required.

Physical Requirements (Essential Functions):

Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.  Sit on a lift truck for extended periods of time.  Reach above shoulder height and bend below waistline.

Dedicated Operations

Location: Hazleton, PA


Primary Purpose:

Providing in-house billing while coordinating the activities of drivers on-site to provide freight coverage for the dedicated customer.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use TMW to create invoices for services provided on a daily basis and ensuring weekly that the master invoice is accurate before sending to the customer. This requires manually inputting number of goods shipped, weight, and rates established with customer.
  • Use Pegasus Imaging to scan and digitalize the customer delivery bills to input into each individual trip for carrier wide use.
  • Assisting the Dedicated Fleet Manager with monitoring and coordinating drivers using TMW & Omnitracs to provide on time service for the dedicated customer’s needs.
  • Ensuring drivers are in compliance with DOT regulations and their hours of service by making safety conscious decisions while also servicing the customer efficiently.
  • Providing timely updates to the dedicated customer and ensuring deliveries are made to preferred specifications. Communicate immediately any issues that arise during the delivery process.
  • Liaising with drivers and the corresponding department for Maintenance, HOS, Safety, Payroll and HR relations.
        • Trouble shooting any problems for the drivers either in person or via telephone.  This can include but is not limited to: directions to customer locations, pick up/ delivery numbers, tracking equipment, violations.
        • Communicate regularly amongst account managers in regards to any changes in deliveries or drivers, equipment changes, time off requests.
        • Perform other duties as requested.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:  At least one (1) year of transportation/logistics experience or work in a related field.

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

 

 

 

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Qualified candidates should have moderate computer skills and knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office 365. Experience with any of the following programs is preferred but not necessary: TMW, Pegasus Imaging, Omnitracs, PC Miler.

Working Conditions:

Dedicated Operations are positioned in a shared office with the Fleet Manager. With the office on-site at the customer, noise levels are mild when production is ongoing.

Minimal travel is required.

Lift small packages weighing less than 50 pounds.

Customer Service Representative-2nd Shift

Location: York, PA


Primary Purpose:

The Customer Service Representative provides a valuable link between the customer and A&S Kinard by promptly responding to inquiries and insuring any problems experienced are resolved to the best of our abilities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, internet, email, fax, post or in person.
  • Communicate with Operations regarding customer requests and requirements.
  • Research customer problems and propose solutions to address problems.
  • Take customer orders.
  • Create, maintain and update customer accounts.
  • Compile, copy, sort and file various dispatch documents.
  • Compute, record and proofread operational data such as trip sheets.
  • Answer telephones, direct calls, schedule appointments and take messages.
  • Deliver operational messages and distribute documents.
  • Complete works schedules, manage calendars and arrange delivery appointments.
  • Work in a safe manner by complying with all company safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, Local and company regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team effort by welcoming new and different ideas and helping others to accomplish their goals.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Associate

Location: Holabird, MD


Primary Purpose:

Warehouse Associate is responsible for operating a forklift truck with various attachments to unload, load, move, locate, relocate, stack and count material.  Utilize walkie-talkie radio to communicate between fellow employees and management.  The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift truck and may also be required to perform other duties as needed.  The operator is required to satisfactory complete a forklift training program prior to employment and will also be required to periodically complete a recertification while employed.  Associate will be responsible to follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as described by warehouse management.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.  Efficiently and safely stack and store product in the appropriate area(s).
  • Efficiently move product from storage locations or staging areas into appropriate trailers.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.  Report and document quality, quantity and damage to supervision.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to ensure inventory control and security are maintained.  Assist in physical inventories as required.  Apply material labeling and/or placards as required.
  • Safely operate all equipment in a safe manner.  Daily inspect each lift truck operated and complete a Lift Truck Inspection Report for each.  Obey operator and pedestrian safe practices.  Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.  Assist in maintaining security of the warehouse.  Comply with OSHA and SDS Standards.  Follow all SOP guidelines as related to safety, sanitation and security.  Report all facility and equipment maintenance issues to management.  Assist sampling technician on an as needed basis when requested by management.
  • Instruct manual labor personnel in verifying counts and on proper technique of palletizing, stacking and wrapping material.
